Engine Cleaning

Hi Guys

So i have spent a lot of time getting the exterior of the vee back up to scratch, after the previous owner had abused it!! next on my list is the engine which is "dirty" lol normally i would just crack on with the GUNK and a jet wash but was thinking with the engine in the car it will all just end up a big mess, so any tips? it needs more than just some rag and a wipe over :)

Stick with Gunk and a small hand held steam cleaner. Works a treat. I tried using muckoff the other day and that was very good at shifting crap. Might work well on the motor too.

diesel and cheep washing powder mix the two together looks like chicken soup use a paint brush to put it on leave it for ten mins and wash off engine will come up like new but dont get it on any rubber items
old bike engine cleaning trick ;)

I did mine with some G101, APC and Auto glym engine cleaner worked in with a number of bush's then rised with water (cover anything electircal !!) come up a treat but the spin around the block to dry it was disapointing with all the covers of sounds rubbish !!

Take it up to over 6000 revs second gear and trust me you lose hearing for a few days!!

Reminds me of the cleaning lady who mixed 2 very common houshold cleaning products and ended up creating mustard gas!

Careful with the secret potions. ;)

To me it sounded cluncky from the gar change and just did not sound how I expected. I did not open it up under 3,000 rpm as engine was still cool it just did not make me go wow !!!

No wonder!! Next time warm it up and take it for a proper blast even just a quick acceleration will blow you away! Thread hijack over
