For Sale ECU services

If you have any electronics related problem with your Renault, feel free to PM me. Some services require physical access to the computer, some can be done remotely if you have access to OBD dongle and laptop with internet connection.
- Immo swaps
- Virginizing ECUs
- Android Auto activation
- RS Monitor activation
- ESP auto on disable
- Sorting Airbag light in your track car, no resistors required, etc.
I've managed to run R-Link on my Clio 3 so everything is possible ;)

I wish it could be written to - I could then adjust the values for the temp sensors! I tried to get the XR25 lead but I see they are no longer made. Following advice I bought an old Snap On and the requisite adapter so I can get the basic OBD stuff from there, including codes and readings of knock, ignition advance, temperatures etc.

There are some tutorials on the web to make a DIY XR25 interface. About newer OBD2 Renaults, the possibilities are dictated by installed modules, for example, you can add reversing camera and eco statistics for a Duster, Eco light and shift light for a Trafic, as the cluster is from a Mk4 Clio with disaled functionalities or window auto close on double click on a Mk3 Clio.

I have a '67 plate Duster with the LG Windows CE (!!!) based media nav evolution unit. It's not capable of apple car play but anything else it can do would be interesting. It had a factory fitted reversing camera so that part is enabled. But can it do the eco stuff?

For the eco stuff you need a BIC module, it takes CAN data from the car and transfers it to the MediaNav unit. Don't know about the RHD version, but the LHD has it located on the right side of the dashboard. BTW, you can have Android Auto on this device.

Some news for people converting Megane 225/230 from DMF to SMF - the SMF can now be properly mapped and learned, as opposed to just disabling the Check Engine light. Without passed learning procedure, the cylinder recognition and misfiring detection is disabled.

Also, for all Megane 225/230 converted Clio 197/200 owners, no more DF624 error "CAN connection fault" - the ECU remap accounts for slight differences in CAN communication between ECU and UPC.

So yeah, no more cheating with disabled fault codes :)

Good info about the smf fault code.

Im currently fitting a megane r26 engine to a Kangoo2. Ive already plugged a set of clio 197 clocks into the loom and they work but cant access them with clip, not tried ddt2000 yet.

Also going to see if a virginilized ecu will sync up to the immobiliser before going the emulator route. Do you think this will work? I believe the petrol Kangoo2 uses sagem s3000 same as megane.

I believe the immo should work OK, Kangoo2 is based on Clio3, but also it is known you can't use Megane Ph1 ECU as the immo won't sync. I had to convert it to Ph2 first. IMO definitely worth checking out.

Regarding 197 clocks, try scanning for modules in DDT, they should show up. Clip uses its internal VIN database and probably went WTF after scanning ;D

Im going to virginilise the immob and give it a go in the next few days. Im using later r26 ecu out of an 07 reg so hopefully should be ok. Wiring has been very easy, its pretty much plug and play.

Will scan it with ddt and see what comes up. Agreed clip probably thought wtf😆 from what i can test with no engine most of the clocks works fine. Cant reset the service or trip but i believe it had a stalk fault beforehand. Need to check wiring.

Interested in this. Neither Paul (RST) or Scoff have successfully managed to 'map' out the eml coming on now & then, when I converted dmf to smf on my Megane a couple of years ago.

When my Euro 4 meg was mapped @RST with SMF the light never came back on, not once! I am sure that was before you had yours done

Have you tried resetting with upper stalk button? I remember the stalk reacting for long presses only on upper button when no ECU was connected ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks for your input. You can disable any error in the ECU, so no EML will come on. My approach is remapping flywheel values that reflect different rotational mass of a SMF, just like you remap 630cc injectors, for example.
Could anyone with SMF confirm you have ET089 "Flywheel Target Programming" status as "DONE"? With just the EML disabled, you will get "STATUS1".

Yep, but as per our messages, I think my smf is a first gen' ktec/ttv flywheel, of which I believe did still give eml triggers now & then, even after being 'mapped out'.
🤷‍♂️

This sounds exactly the problem I'm having with my Megane. Is that data dump via Clip?
