Dryclough Lane Garage, Halifax

RENORICK looked after my vee very well :approve:
After having the ABS light come on I didn't fancy taking the car too far so after a quick search I came across Dryclough Lane Garage. Based in Halifax Rick is a fully trained Renault technician who started his own business as a Renault specialist and also works on any other make of car. Rick is also the owner of a very nice collection of Renault cars including an Acid Ph2 which put my mind at ease when I wanted somewhere to take mine.
From dropping the car off to picking it up I was kept up to date with regular phone calls.

So if your anywhere near then look no further :approve:

Hi Phil, glad you found them to be good. They sorted a few minor issues out on my Vee last year, in fact they will be servicing my Clio 200 in the next few weeks.

^^^^ Guess how I found them Matt ;) ^^^^
Yep, the dealer list :approve:

Good to hear Dan :approve: , just give Rick a nudge and mention the Skipton meet again ;) Would be nice to see the acid out.

Will do Phil, it would be great to get a good turn out for that meet!

Hope Renorick can attend 8) Acid is stunning :approve:

Interesting, mine just needs an oil change but don't have the gear to do it myself, might give him a bell. The paintwork sounds promising too as mine could do with a respray to get rid of some chips

Well what can I say but a massive thanks to Rick [smilie=thanks.gif]

The labour cost was very reasonable, and only charged 50% to include an oil change, only because of what it needed, new clutch, slave cylinder, flywheel

He also said he can fit tyres at a very competitive price and has also put me in touch with a bodyshop that can sort out a front end respray and potentially paint the rear calipers. The front needs doing more than ever now as the recovery company must have caught the chin and scraped a bit off the bumper, not that noticeable, but is to me. Was going to complain but have no evidence of before so don't know if it's worth it?

Car feels fantastic, the clutch feels so much better, so much so that I stalled it as it was quite high before, but now it's at the right height.

Rick also sorted out the issue of not seeing the mpg, he did a reset that I'd done before but started it up while resetting and checking the fuel flow by pressing the button in. Obviously knows his way round these cars.

Had a gander at his Acid sat in the garage, was one I was looking at a couple of years ago from near Manchester - very nice, but think his LY sport spider may be even cooler 8)

Found what I was worried didn't exist in Rick, someone local that can look after 200 the way I want. I know Scott and Fred have great reputations, but they're a bit too far away for me with work and other commitments (football), any other northerners that don't fancy a trek down I urge you to have a word with Rick

And to top it off, he's just a genuinely nice bloke :approve:

I would like to add more praise to this thread...

My phase 1 vee had an annoying (and hard to replicate fault) where it would sometimes not restart when the engine was warm. I took it to Dryclough Lane Garage and they really worked hard to sort it and did not overcharge on the labour costs.

Great bloke that seems to really know what he is doing and good customer service too.

Thanks

Mark
