Does anyone know this car?

Been re-listed due to time wasters. It's clearly a Phase 1 that has had a Phase 2 front end conversion (presumably when it was repaired in 2004). Apparently a member on here?

My only concern with the advert are the words used - "replaced with genuine parts" - which clearly is not the case. Its a fairly major modification, completely swapping the front end over. I wonder why this isn't mentioned in the ad? Wouldn't necessarily devalue the car either at the price he is after.

Thats yannis car
im sure phase 2 had been released at the time of the repairs so he decided to get phase 2 panels fitted instead of the phase 1,it does have very low miles iirc

Ain't that a bit like bolting the front of an Alpine A310 onto an A110? It's a square peg in a round hole, surely it's got to effect the value of it dramatically?

Agreed. No matter how good the work is, I just couldn't own a car that doesn't really know what it is. If that makes sense?

I would have returned the car to being an immaculate low mileage phase 1. It would be worth a lot more in its original state.

Still, each to their own and good on him for trying something different. I just think he should mention it in the advert.

no it isnt for a start it wouldnt fit without modification

Yani's car is immaculate to be fair and who's to say its worth less. Any of you guys seen a ph2 converted car up for sale? Can't see any problem bolting a ph2 front on to a 1 personally. Many people prefere the ph2 front and many the better ph1. If you can't quite stretch to ph2 money then this well executed conversion using genuine reno parts is for you. Its no different to people fitting ph2 rear lights on to ph1's which many do.

Good luck to him I say. Its in better condition than most on here.

swapping rear light clusters is a little less dramatic than bolting a complete new end on, surely? Ive no idea whats involved, but I'm guessing, wings, bumper lights and a whole host of other stuff? I dont think anyone is questioning the actual condition of this car, which is impossible not having seen it.
