Really easy. MAX SPEED 123mph on cruise control! All in the handbook. Behind the bottom left of the steering wheel on the dash are some buttons to turn it on and off. Furthest right i think so turn it on. Then the left and right buttons are used on the steering wheel. Top of left is to set the speed you want ie travel at 70mph and press top left and it will now sit at that speed. Then you can use the left button to increase and decrease the speed! ie up for increase and down for decrease! Great for overtakes! Right button on steering wheel -top of turns it on and bottom turns it off. Mess around with it. Hope it helps but so much easier to demonstrate than trying to explain it!
Best to get the owners manual Wayne and have a look.
The good thing about it is the cruise control system also has a speed limiting feature which allows you to drive using the throttle but stops you accelerating when you get to your 'dialled in' speed - actually it reduces engine power as you approach the speed and is pretty clever. For long journeys you can set the cruise control and accelerate/decelerate using the steering wheel buttons and rest both yout feet ...

I get tempted to stick my feet out the window! Now thats proper feet rest! As Spike says great for speed limited zones but then you realise how much people just cant stick to a nice steady speed! They accelerate and decelerate so I am always forever adjusting the limit via the buttons! I am sure you will figure it out pretty quick mate.

Very, very useful for the trip to and from Germany last week.
Give's you a lovely feeling as you feel the car trying to maintain the set speed as you're going up long curving hills - Very strange!
Set it up to 110mph, when you see you're coming up to a car in the outside lane, press the cancel button and let the car cruise up to it whilst decreasing in speed, then once the obstruction's out of the way, hit the resume button and the car climbs back up to speed.
Took the DB9 down to Spain last week and again used cruise quite a lot of the time especially through France where the speed limit is 130km/h.
Most people travel at 140km/h a speed at which you're not going to get pulled and fined (10km/h faster and you can wave goodbye to €90 at the roadside, 10km/h faster than that and say hello to an instant 6 month ban and your car being impounded) so set it up to this speed and just cruised along all day.
Have to say I've never been in a situation in the UK where I could use Cruise as the roads are just too congested so you have to adjust your speed or compensate for other drivers' behaviour too often.
Also poor lane discipline and the overall poor standard of driving in the UK makes it just too risky not to have full control of all of the pedals here!

I use it every time I'm on the motorway.Sorry main on/off button is infront to the right side of steering wheel. Agree with Simon lane behaviour and standard of driving in the uk does make it difficult to use cruise control. Lane behaviour is also the cause of why the inside lanes are always quicker than the outside lanes. Most drivers are crap and just lane hog its just awful and shows you how 'thick' people are. Quite often I have to move from lane 1 to 3 to 1 at 70mph on cruise control cos there is one idiot hogging lane 2 at 60! Serious lack of awareness!

Can't get mine to work! Well last night fiddling for the umpteenth time the set and dashes bit registered 67 but did'nt seem to do anything. I've had the car for 2 wks and thought be nice to have all its bits working! So resigned to the fact that cruise was'nt, dropped down a sweeping right hander onto my local dual carriageway, some 5 or so miles since I last fiddled, making progress, it suddenly closed its throttle and pegged me to 67, so weave and fiddle again, turned it off at the switch and on my way! So curious, tried again a number of times today but no effect, will not register on set and the dashes remain! The green and amber speedo icons will show when switch is turned on. Frustrating eh! Help!

I seem to remember it took a dash reset to fix mine, long time ago so not totally sure.

That's what I use it for most on long journeys down south. Just a pain when you stonk up behind pensioners and caravans doing 50 and you suddendly have to deactivate it! :race:
