Crankshaft sensor location

Hi, does anyone know where the crankshaft sensor is located? Please be as accurate as possible with how it looks and it's location as we're trying to find it outside and are turning into ice cubes. (Mk1 V6)

Thanks! [smilie=thanks.gif]

Its located on the gearbox bellhousing just to the right of the gear linkages (when your looking from the rear). I suppose its more towards the rear of the engine bay so you might need to take the lower engine cover off depending on how much access you need.
Hope that helps.

Ok. Its quite small (20-30mm wide) and by memory sits on a slightly raised lug on the bellhousing obviously to pick up flywheel rotation. It has one cable going to it with a plug at the end. If you were to look at the engine side on from the gearbox side I think its about 2 o'clock by the crank.
