Coming out of hibernation

CraigV6

New Member
Vee booked in for MOT, full service, bonnet check and discs and pads replaced.
Will have the new wheels on by then, just waiting for a suitable weather window.
8th May and it'll be back on the road.

I haven't driven it since early September and I can't wait!!!!!!

Anyone else coming out of hibernation soon?

Me!!!
Just shod my 'brand new' superturismos with Super Sports. It's going to be Super!!!

Way ahead of you Craig, taxed & tested 1st April (no fooling).

The feeling of getting back out in the vee after 6-months is (almost) worth the hibernation. I said almost

Had mine out today & went for a little blast. Started on the button and was such a pleasure to drive!

The v6 felt so tiny to drive compared to modern hatchbacks!

Freshly MOT'd and taxed mine this morning!

My god does it feel good, and sound immense!!! I was giggling like a kid at several points

I was actually having doubts over its hibernation and since getting the BM if I would actually keep it in the long term, but one drive confirmed it!!

Going to go for another blast tonight and convince myself to hit that buy button for KW's [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Hit that button Col :approve:

I envy you all planning to drive the cars you abandoned all those months ago. I will never have that thrill as I only have the thrill of driving mine every day.

Nigel.

100 miles at the weekend !!!!!!!!!
I'm sticking to my promise to use it this year, whenever I want, stuff the mileage,

+1 I'm not selling anyways so why not enjoy it, provided its bone dry and no puddles it's gonna be out!

You're gay! Get it driven!

And I'm out.
MOT flew through, pads and discs fitted, full service sorted.
Wheels on next good weather window, then alignment booked.

422 miles in the last 18 months I have done.
Need to be seeing at least 1000 miles in the remainder of this year, although the S5 doesn't make that easy!

Pishing down on the way home, setting a trend; going to stop my unnecessary dry use only rule.
The weather in this country just isn't good enough to keep that up.
Just means I'll be cleaning it more often though.

Had mine MOT'ed for a month now and last weekend with the glorious sunny weather it was a good opportunity to give her a good clean.

Then the wife said "whilst you're at it...." so I ended up doing her Fiat 500 as well. Looked cute next to each other.

It's also the Vee's first big day out of the year this Sunday at Beaulieu - See you there!

Extracted mine yesterday from it's 6 month hibernation in father-in-laws garage.
Fan-bloody-tastic.
Little things I'd forgotten could be such fun
1) Driving at 30 MPH
2) Going back for the pint of milk I forgot (any excuse)
3) 5 point turns ..when every other car can do it in one.
4) The gentle bobbing of the front end on country roads
5) The sound ...pure opera
