Colour

Hi guys, new on here, after looking for a long time just bought a silver phase 1 car, it will be built as a race/track car , currently silver, want something different, any colour combos recommended, ? Car is damaged lightly but hpi clear want to build it as something special so may as well take the opportunity to paint it 'different' to others.

Tricky one as i feel that the Vee doesn't suit really strong aftermarket colours such as orange etc, so more of a subtle moody colour would be best like a mk1 in lunar grey perhaps or you could go custom and have a base colour and add a tint of another colour into it for something really unique...

Looooong time ago I had my saxo resprayed in a colour by rage called bondi beach, a sort of pastel blue with a green and gold flip and it looked superb, I'll try and find a pic

I think its quite hard to pull off a colour change on a ph1. As others have said, pastel or non lairy colours would look best in my own opinion unless your fitting original Trophy goodies. I wouldn't try making it look like a ph2 either . . . Not my cup of tea either. Don't listen to me though, my car is now a marmite car to many as its a different colour too. At the end of the day, don't listen to anyone, make it the colour you want and then you know you will be happy fella.

Thanks for the ideas guys, have been suggested Alien green, one of my customers who runs a couple of Porsches also has clios and says it must be alien green. Still doing some repairs at the min but not to far away from paint.

Just need to find an os front wing first.......
