Hi Guys,
I know Coils have been done to death on this forum, but I have a quick question.
I had my first Coil go on Sunday morning (53 plate MK2 @ 27,000 miles) on the motorway so was not fun replacing it on the hard shoulder! It was very clear to me that it had gone as I lost a significant amount of power and the car sounded a bit like an Impreza!
Thanks to all the info on this forum, I had everything I needed to do the diagnosis and replacement. However when fitting the new Coil (a Peugeot equivalent one as recommended) the coil does not seem to fit as tightly as the other ones. I now have 5 very stiffly placed coils (the old ones) and the new one that is plugged in as far as it goes, plugged in, working, but a little wobbly if I try and move it side-to-side.
Is this normal or is there something I can do about this?
Cheers,
Phil.
