When I bought my car the oem splitter was long gone. Scott@SGM fitted a plastic jobbie from some sort of VW/Skoda and, at best, it stopped it looking as though something was missing. Once the spoiler was fitted the front of the car was going very light once it was getting a move on and I was pointed in the direction of these splitters.
I was very sceptical about it doing anything, bought it simply because I thought it would look good! However, the difference was like night and day. It now hugs the road.
My car sits a little lower than oem so Phil reduced the depth of the front lip to 15mm, I think the usual depth is 20mm.
I bought some after market soft moulded rubber strip as mentioned here, the rubber had a return lip on the underside so was easy to fit with some penny washers and screws from what I recall, I'm sure there is some more infor on the V6 forum, this is what it looked like back then circa 2010....
