Clio 16v GTR Rear Bumper

Hi there,

I was wondering does anybody know where else I'd find the bumper on the following website:

Renault Clio MK1 GTR Rear Bumper

I haven't gotten around to set up an account to allow me to post images. I'll do this tomorrow and then post a pic of it! If somebody else reads this before the pic from the link is posted, please feel free to reply to this message with the pic embedded

The thing is, this crowd are looking for €478 for it, plus €220 for postage (that's about £635 all up) which is a bit too rich for me unfortunately!

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

i wouldnt be inclined to put that bumper on a clio, or anything really, doesnt suit the car, obviously each to their own and that but it aint very nice and its not worth even a tenth of what theyre asking, mad money is that, you could always try the polish ebay they have a lot of that stuff at decent prices

Hmmn mate, i would maybe add a diffuser to the standard rear bumper if you want to mod it, but in this day and age less is more, bodykits are a thing of the past, subtlety is the way forward

Yeah, I was looking at the kits on ebay all right and there is a Polish crowd called 'Car Lovin Criminals' that have a decent and fairly subtle kit:

I'm gonna go for this one as it's £339 plus £50 (Sterling) for delivery and then go for either the 'Alien' spoiler with the indicators built in or the 'Maxi Sport' spoiler. I'm gonna go for black mesh with the above kit and a centre exit exhaust at the back. I reckon this'll look good in contrast with the 'Atomic Orange' that it's getting sprayed and a set of 'Wolfrace Lugano' 16" Wheels.

Anyway, I've your brains to pick about another couple of things but I'll leave it at that for now

I guess now I'll also be needing a flux capacitor and some plutonium, then just get her up to 88mph and HELLOo 1996!

Would it be a massive job getting the seats from the 480 Turbo into the Clio (front and back)?

front ones should be quite easy, spot of welding and your sorted, something tells me the rear seats in a Volvo would be a bit wider though...

If youre heading back to 96 gimme a shout, been meaning to get some shit from back there

I measured roughly and I think that the back seats might fit ok. I suppose the best thing todo is get off my lazy ass and give it a go!

As for 1996 ...keep your eye on eBay for a flux capacitor and we're sorted!

i'm mad into less of everything, the latest addition (unconfirmed) to the renault driveway here will be a 96 clio with the maximum amount of less, entry model, non c/c bumpers or mirrors, my kind of car right there, the valvers can stay fancy, everybody should have at least one plain jane car...

Hi,

Yeah, it's a MK1 16v. It'll hopefully be powered by a Volvo 480 Turbo engine by the Summer. I have to get it tidies up first, the usual rust arches etc. and then gonna get the engine transplanted into it.

I know what you both are saying about 'less being more' and all that ....just fancy a body kit on it for something different. I had a 'Valver' done up before with a Mercury body Kit and a decent set of Wolfrace wheels, Remus exhaust, leather etc. etc. and sold it when I moved to Oz for a few years. I always missed it and this is as close as I'll get to having it back

Anyway, a long way to go with it yet and I'm no mechanic or panel beater which doesn't help! I'll most likely be able to at least strip it myself and do the interior - we'll see!

I saw the most beautiful PH1 Clio 16V for 600 euro there recently, honestly the nicest one I ever saw, was wishing I could have got it and kicking myself I didnt now although another high insurance car is not what I need right now.
