Interesting question!
The Vee was much more fun to drive because you are able to take far greater liberties. Once I'd realised that it needed to be grabbed by the scruff of the neck and abused, then the Clio and I really gelled. On winter tyres in the damp last year, every roundabout was another hairpin on the Col de Turini. Brilliant! The short wheelbase, high roll-centre and RWD meant that it would travel sideways at will.
The Lambo requires much more respect and feels quite wooden in comparison. The thrust and outright lateral grip are phenomenal, but it isn't as much outright fun.
Don't misunderstand the next bit.....
I owned an F355, driving it as an everyday motor for five years and in that time I took it into London once, on the evening of Easter bank holiday Monday, and into my then home town, Windsor, not once. I buy cars to drive, not to pose in. Prior to the Ferrari were two Esprits, a GT3 and a V8GT, both in yellow. I'm quite used to driving conspicuous motors. The Clio wasn't one. Most have actually no idea. Those that know, know. The Gallardo on the other hand? In slow traffic on the M25 the other day, I checked my mirrors to see four mobiles trained on me at the same time. It's an adult shade of blue, although the plate rather shouts! But still, inconspicuous it ain't.
However.....
As an everyday drive? Lambo. The punch is great and the interior is just so much better to spend time in. And on an open A-road. Wow!
