Changing fuel pump advice

Plan to change the fuel pump soonish to Spikes uprated version :salut: , but as previously explained by others on older posts, you need to remove the sound/heat proofing behind the seats to access it.

Id like to replace this material, but dont really want to replace with Renault stuff as its silly expensive or have the hassle of sticking it all back together..

Does any one know 1. What this material is and 2. whether it can be sourced else where at normal prices? It looks like thick underlay..

Any ideas appreciated, thanks

First I've heard of an uprated fuel pump. Handy as I need one too although it needs to flow considerably more than the original.

S.pike's your man..improved mid-range power I believe, but not in yet.

Its like a sound proofing adhesive felt? Could also be heat proof?

I changed the fuel filter yesterday and the sound proofing above the access plate came out in one piece , it is nice and thick and shaped to fit , looked good enough for the job . :salut:

Hi,
The atenuation felt in most cars is wood wool fibre bonded together using phenol formaldihyde binder the base density is 33kg m3 the binder content islow at .8%.
