.... have you had issues with it melting your exit holes?? :s
If so, how did you rectify the problem?

Cheers :approve:

I am just waiting for mine to arrive (thanks Big Peaches :approve: )

And after talking to people on here its seems quite a common problem.

Its to do with the allignment of the exhaust.

Once the car warms up the exhaust has a tendancy to travel north.

One trick is to take the car out on a long trip, get the exhaust nice and hot
and actually place a metal pole in the tail pipes and lever them to the
required position (sounds barbaric i know but it does work) ( you may
have to take the bumper of though.)

Also people have reported it varies from car to car.(ie the car rather than
the exhaust)

Another drastic solution is to cut the centre section out but as i say this
a very drastic.

Do a search on the forum theres plenty of info about it.

Hope this has helped :approve:

I had to do this..it melted my bumper after 2 hours of being on :(

got a big pinch bar for putting fence posts in the ground..and just levered the pipes like mad till they sat central..it kept wanting to go back to the original position..

in the end...my renault dealer got it absolutely perfect by adjusting the car..

Cheers for the opinions/experiences!

Colin, just out of interest in what way did the dealer adjust your car?

Cheers

Havent a clue mate..it was when they did the cambelt, and I had never mentioned the squint backbox to them..

when I got it back..it just sat so perfect it was better than the OEM one! :)

You know what, if you all take the time and 'patience' when fitting the zorst in the first place and regularly checking the valance alignment "prior" to tightening up the clamps - none of you would have this issue.

It took a while to do mine, but it was well worth the hard work and patience, as the zorst is totally centrally aligned and has been since I first fitted it.

yes but woman can take their time and want to get it right..

its programmed into men..that if they recieve a huge shiny cool thing that makes a lot of noise..they just want it on asap so they can hear it..

its like the whole men dont read the manuals thing!!

i hated my quicksilver sold it within 5min of it arriving at work, the quality of Vs the price tag was shocking

so we now make our own :D

I'm confused! (Doesn't take much I know!). Did Quicksilver make two different types of the same exhaust...I've had mine for about 6 months now. Sold my KTEC to purchase it. The quality is far better than the KTEC (looking at the welds etc). It looks fantastic and the stainless steel hasn't discoloured at all - needs abit of metal polish from time to time and that's all. Had no problems with fitting and it sits slap bang in the centre of the two bumper holes (took about 5 minutes of adjusting then further tightening a day or two later after the first drive with it on).

Yes Matt....:D

Standard Quicksilver and the OMG (Oh My God Version..!!) I have listened to the standard one - I think it's called the 'sport' if I am not mistaken....?? (sure someone will clarify.... :s ) Anyway, REN55 has it and I listened to his at Brands....he said he couldn't have put up with mine (OMG) on the car....it is a lot louder and boomier than the 'sport' version of the QS....:D

Colin, I am probably the most impatient woman in the world...!!! I swear....everything (and I mean everything!) has to be done like 'right here, right now' or I turn into Miss-Stroppy-Pants...!!! I am terrible....!!! So trust me, when the big OMG parcel arrived with my next-door neighbours, it was opened and being tinkered with within 5 minutes flat....and yes, I sulked for 2 days solid, cause I had to go to work for 2 more days prior to being able to fit it on the Saturday.....So it's not a guy thing, trust me..!!!

BTW...as for "how to" manuals....aren't they what you put your coffee-cups on in the absence of a mat..?? [smilie=icon_snigger.gif]

Little Miss Impatient!!!

But they both look the same and come with the same brackets etc so why the fitting issues with some and not with other?
