Brake upgrade on mk1 clio 1.4

So i have done a bit of reading up and from what i make all i need is the following to upgrade my current 1996 mk1 clio (LUCAS) callipers.

And obviously the pads, any chance of someone in the know to confirm this?

The other thing i wanted to ask was that, i have seen a few mk1's with rear disc conversions but cant find any info on how to go about it and what model the rear axle etc i need to look for?

And well off topic here but , where the hell (other than main dealer) can i get rear window seals?
Thanks guys.

Yes those calipers and discs will do the job.

Rear discs are easiest with a complete clio 16V or williams rear axle but you can use just the carrier bits off the ends of the axle. Bit of a bitch to get them off though.

Thanks mate , will be ordering a few bits up now.

Do the rear brake lines fit straight on to the callipers or will they need replacing for hoses?

Thanks again

I think the existing lines are probably long enough that you could make them reach to the calipers but you'd need to reshape them and they'd probably collapse in the process.

Thought it was too simple to be true, will probably get some appropriate brake lines if i can't find a reasonably priced set of braided lines.

Thanks again Neal , legend.

Got round to it earlier today , easy and simple upgrade .

got a few pics whilst i was at it.

I know the wheels have had better days , will get around to it one day :|.

The RSi also had rear discs, and I know of someone who put a 5 turbo beam on his Clio to gain rear discs

i did manage to source a complete rsi setup , just need to pick it up wich is a slight problem given long working hours and it being 140 miles away.
