BRAKE PADS !!!!!

I need new brake pads all round for the v6 so i thought i'd give the local Renault dealer a look. I had around the £200 maybe £300 mark in mind for the lot so you can imagine my face when he gave me the quote of £639 [smilie=icon_eek.gif] and thats without fitting.
I think i will be giving E Bay a look !

My new red stuffs are working nicely and came in at £150 all round with club members discount from Brakes4U.

Red stuffs make a good allround job, but are aggressiv to the discs, they grooves a lot.

i speak after trying the 3 set of redstuffs.

Crazy prices! This sort of thing causes so much friction with owners.

6020013035 front pads £218.47
6000009332 rear pads £338.00

Total - £639.94 inc VAT

6020013026 front discs £425.00
6020013025 rear discs £425.00

Total £977.50 inc VAT

ive NEVER understood why the rear pads are more expensive than the fronts, doesnt make sense to me!! typical french robbery!!

On things like the Mintex pads, there is a problem with the rear pads being slightly radially oversized. Hence I'd assume that at least the OEM mega-expensive rears fitted properly. Hence I was amazed when Mike @ Rentech showed me that even my original OEM pads had a slight radial lip! So £338 and they fit no better than cheaper pads!

if you want renault parts or aftermarket parts, then talk to me, i'll try and beat anyone on price
