And for the record its a possible home install job. Lots of torx screws and a few bolts and hose clips.

Well Ill be fitting my quicksilver exhaust as well, it could be an interesting day, sore knuckle and a sudden hatrid towards the V6

You'll have the cover off for the BMC so you might as well fit the exhaust at the same time!

Not sure fitting them both together will help. :?

But sure it'll be bloody knuckle fun!

I meant you're better off with the top covers removed to get access to the exhaust, surely? Or do you just have to remove the undertray to fit the backbox?

backbox just comes out with a bit of fiddling with the rubber mounts (grrr) but nothing needs removing, just jack the rear of the car up!

Im gonna take some stage by stage pics for future forum users should they struggle to fit either.

remember that when you jack up the rear you MUST put axle stands under the car. A great friend of mine was killed when the jack slipped and the car crushed him.
