Got BMC induction kit fiited but don't here much of an inductin noise like other people on here talk about. Does the BMC kit not make as much noise as other induction kits?

You won't really benefit from induction noise unless you have a LHD vee.....the passenger will though with the window down.

There is a world of difference when I am driving on the left hand side with the window down and when I am a passenger on the right. Even with the window down I struggle to here anything.....induction should have been developed to suck from both pods!

Saying that I can't really hear the induction now I've had the QS fitted.....just a lovely drone, burble, roar from the rear now!

IMO the noise of the BMC is noticeable. At low revs you hear more of a growl and at high revs it really roars. It is more noticeable with the passenger window open.

BUT now my QS back box completely drowns it out!

When I first fitted my BMC I thought it was really quiet.

However, I refitted it with the intake tube right at the side pod mesh and it is now much louder (was a pain though as had to remove and refit fan to get access to pull tube through).

It depends on how you fit it I guess.

Mines is still very noticeable even with the omg QS exhaust.

And mines is righthand drive too. ;)

If you install it properly it should be very noticable (if it was the standard airbox you had before). I've got the QS OMG exhaust and above 4k rpm its the IK making the most noise (windows up or down)...oh and I sit on the proper side too.

"whistle...whistle...cough...splutter......."wankers".........whistle..."
Yup......defo Pete......

Statistically, its the UK who sit on the wrong side, and compared with the rest of europe and the world, we are in the minority.....the Vee was developed as a leftie and modified for the UK market....

They should bring back cars with centre fornt seats like the McClaren F1......perfect driving position and centre of gravity!

P.S. There's a prize for anyone who can identify the feckin annoying tink tink rattle as I pull away - it's driving me potty.

Just read one of the Evo reports.

"Otherwise, the Clio is wearing its miles well. The V6 is as sweet and gutsy as ever, the trim looks pretty much as new and there's only one unusual noise - an occasional loud tick when pulling away, like something in the boot is unsecured."

If you read on you'll find the answer to out little tinkering noise frined that others have experience on here.......apparently one of the wheel centre pieces clips coming undone on the inside?

OMG - that'll be the first thing I'll check tonight - thank you! It's been driving me nuts!!

Read through the EVO Longb term test articles in the link I posted yesterday......a few noises and rattles that were debugged can be found in the articles!
