BBC3 Ident

No but I did see one of those redevelopment type drawings and it had a vee included in this new ultra modern layout for somewhere like rundown parts of Liverpool.

I love mini's too, I would love a tax free one. Shame they are such rust buckets.

Cool indent with the clio V6, there must have been someone on the BBC art team who worked on it who is into clio V6's, either that or they just liked the look of the clio when they were looking through reference photo's during the concept phase.

Being in the design industry I always wonder why specific cars (or other items) are chosen for media unrelated to the manufacturer. Another example is the advert for 'Them crooked vultures' album, it has a Nissan Figaro featured in one of the black and red illustrations - presumably the marketing guys were looking for a 'quirky retro car' for a rock band and thought a figaro would fit the bill for a rock band; it looks totally misplaced, both stylistically and for the genre of the music.

Buy mine off me then! 1960 Morris, 100 road miles, very extensive service history, 2 "Carefull" owners, no rust what so ever and even comes with a big disc upgrade..... ;)

Sounds like it'd be expensive! What engine is in it? Any photo's?
I really shouldnt be looking at other old cars but I'm a soft touch after owning moggies and cortina's.

Well as mad as its sounds, the last engine was a turbocharged 16v A seires, 1460cc with 340+bhp at full boost and ate Jack Knight dog boxes for breakfast. I still have the shell but am currently trying to get hold of Honda CRV/Shuttle 4wd engine and gearbox to fit. 200+bhp on a 10" rim is fun to begin with but a nightmare in general.

There's me thinking it was a period, subtle, reto-mod, that thing sounds insane you nutter.

Those 1.4 K-series engines are very good, I had the 8 valve non injection version in my Metro GTa and for standard it was one of the quickest 1400cc engined vehicle I've ever driven, it's a shame the 1.8 recieved so much scorn in the MGF.

These guys do fantasic mini conversions:

Z Cars are the nutts to be fair. Mine was proven to be the fastest sub 1000cc Mini in the world in 2000 (Had an 8 port 11000rpm 970s engine) and was first in the country to receive an R1 engine in the front too.
