6 months felt like a long time!!

As the sun was out yesterday i taxed her and went for a blast. Was an uplifting drive being taken down memory lane.

I'd almost forgotten exactly how it felt to drive one of these. The car feels very small, raw & with an almost analogue simplicity.
The gearbox was an utter joy to use - I remember them not being this nice, and i remember them having a longer throw, its really short!. I was suprised at how short the total pedal travel is on the clutch and how heavy it was. After a few gear changes you dont notice it any more and it just feels right, allows you to make very quick changes.

It handles so well too, rewarding your smooth inputs on the controls with a very satisfying driving experience. And i cant write without mentioning the noises too, they are even better than i remember them!!! Hearing the gear change was almost as satisfying as the induction/exhaust combo.

Its almost worth the 6 months without it to really appreciate it when you get back in. Man i love these cars!! :race:

Looks fantastic 8)

I know what you mean, mines done around 500 miles this winter so very much looking forward to getting some use out of it in the summer.

Looks like Chobham Common? Some good roads round there, if a little bumpy! :race:

Yeah chobham common Tim, well spotted!

Mines off to Scott next weekend, MOT & service time. Gonna get some new front pads too as they have gone hard and are pretty useless.

Like it Duncan

I've always preferred the Ph2 face, but recent pics of people's Ph1s is making me think which is better

Great going Duncan. Vee's looking as clean as ever.

Saw #002 at Scott's last Thursday for the first time in 6 months, but it will not be ready until beg of May! :( Can't wait to get back behind the wheel.

Cheers guys!

I think the phase 2 is more in your face and can be more instantly attractive, it also has never aged (probably as it was never facelifted).
The period looks of phase one are looking better with age and its really holding its own now.

Ideally id have one of each!
