Nice looking example! Good to see him asking a proper price for it too.
I do find comments like "BEST IN COUNTRY & PROBABLY LOWEST MILES" somewhat arrogant though. You just know there will be a couple moth balled somewhere, with next to no miles on at all, never mind over 5k.
Yorky's is better than that for one! :approve:
I started to think about mileage fraud when I read that some of the more expensive OBDII scanners/updaters can reset milage in the ECU ... As low mileages on Vees seem to be a primary factor on high value cars ... I would suggest that people are wary or considerate about buying low mileage cars at a premium where they may have been exposed to the opportunity of this work being done i.e. dealers or traders who may have the equipment to do it.
I seem to recall though that the ECU has protection in that it has a number of audit locations which audit any adjustments made for things such as service resets, air-bag resets, mileage changes etc. so these would be visible within the ECU to dealers. This is one of the reasons why I was not keen to do any map changes as my assumption is that this is also logged in the ECU - not so much of a problem once the warranty has run out though I guess ...
