and then there were 3!!

They promised to notify me if they ever changed their URL address. Just as-well you are on the ball Duncan :approve:

Now there are only 3 on pistonheads!!

4 on autotrader and 3 on ebay (1 is on pistonheads and ebay), 9 in total across the 3 sites!

Never seen so few up for sale in all the years ive been looking.

There were a couple of Ph1s on Pistonheads about a month ago both between £9-10k, anyone know if they sold or were they just withdrawn?

My blue vee is one of them, only reason I'm selling is because I need the money for part deposit on a house, so I thought its price to sell quick, even at 11500, AND hardly any about. I've only had one viewing, who is not sure if he wants a vee and if he does he wants a very low mileages one. Apart from that not many emails or calls, a couple of time wasters for part exchanges, and one who said he will view but never turned up.
Anyone who thinks they can sell a vee for 18k+.....good luck
The market has changed or its just the time of year.

I hear what you are saying but imo 11.5k is still to low. Have you tried 'sale or return' at a local/specialist dealer? Alot of people need to p/x, finance a car these days?

I recently had my P1 on the forecourt of a main dealer with alot of interest.

I think the issue on the front of people buying (so that'll be me then) is money is tight so buyers want the right car at the right price before they'll let go of their hard earned cash.

If that means waiting then that's what they "seem" to be doing..............

In the past a lot of us would buy a car we fancied, keep it for 6-12 months and move onto the next thing that floated out boat - things seem to have changed along the way due to the financial climate.

On top of that the low owner, low mileage cars are usually for keeps and not going to be sold anytime soon.

Just my opinion, nothing else :)

Somebody needs to advertise at 18-20k!!! PRONTO!!

Whats stopping you?

One minor issue really...i'm not selling? :s

I was under the impression from previous posts you wanted to boost prices with a "fake" advert but with no actual intention of selling the car? :s

I would be up for this... But what if a serious offer came along lol!!

I think the less there are for sale, the greater power the seller has.

Less really is more!

When it goes months without any at all being advertised, this is when the sellers can truly advertise at what they want for it.

Also putting up inflated adverts may have an effect on people who are genuinley trying to sell.

I guess thats a win win then, I echo Ali's previous comments about a decent ph1 being no less than 10k and a ph2 15k but thats just my opinion.

Iain, sentiments are their, but still needs to be driven by serious sellers, not fakey's who'll pull out if offered the desired money; last thing we want to do is damage the reputation of the owners/forum! Plus as Colin says, it needs to be supported by a knowledgeable owner and a bloody good advert and mine would not be a great example for this!
