Just spotted this which started life as a road car:

LINK

Tommy Field built engine on twin throttle bodies @ 300bhp with DTA Management.

£18k, it wants to be good. Does look the part although I struggle in and out without a roll cage.

hi,yes ive now joined the forum.

Basically the car is a 2002 51 plate that has been modified over the years, its been dry stored since 2002 and when time/money allowed bits were done on the car.Im going to list the details of the car on the register.

All in all it probably owes near £40K including the cost of car.

Everything regarding engine/cage and wiring was all over done really. The throttle bodies are the same spec as the old Metro 6R4 rally cars.
It recorded 300bhp at flywheel on a Dyno at Tommy Field Motorsport.
Everything was over engineered from the custom rose-jointed rear wishbones right upto the custom aluminium water wiper washer bottle.

Its a fantastic looking car and goes extremely well.

Its never been on a track day or in a race although is more than capable.

I would like to see the car go to a respectable owner who will look after it as i have.

I am in talks to get it magazine featured in the next few months so the new owner can have that as well if they wish.

Any other info just ask me.

hi there.

how many miles have you done since the engine and everything was done.
obviously its not an everyday sort of car.

is it running standard gearbox and clutch..

many thanks steve

Hi Steve,

Gearbox,clutch are standard items.
I would say its done 3-4hrs running time since engine build, mainly in and around workshop.
It had only done 500miles when the project started back in 2002.

It doesnt have a trip mileometer as the stack dash instruments is only revs and mph.

Yes i would say its not an everyday car but i assume most v6's arent these days.

Ideally a show car or track day car.

if you need further info please ask.

The car looks superb and very well put together. :approve: Appart from the throttle bodies what sort of things have been done to acheive 300bhp?

As far as i remember the head was ported, cams changed as vvt was removed and the exhaust and the throttle bodies were all thats been done to the engine itself.
Also a DTA ECU which was live mapped and the three uprated fuel pumps.

Alex.
