An excellent paint and bodyshop for any Vee owners!

My cars nearly completed now and yesterday I see it for the first time on its newly refurbished wheels and freshly painted body. All I can say is wow!! It looked fan bloody tastic and the work that has been done is second to none!

The firm in question is a small family run buisness called Werx Paint. From the second my car entered their workshop I knew it was in good hands and they assured me not to worry about any of the aspects concerning the fiberglass body work as they are no strangers to repairing it. They came through brilliantly and I just can't fault how quick, helpful and down right friendly they were. After Nick, the chap who's done alot of the work, fixed my rear bumper, prepped it, sprayed it and then mopped and polished it, he phoned me up and said he wasn't happy with it. I drove to the work shop to see what the fuss was and it turned out that one of the gaps in the bumper wasn't dead straight. I looked at it.......looked at it again.......then from a different angle........then from a nearer distance....I just couldn't see it!! They are perfectionists to say the least. They also refurbish wheels. Mine were finished a couple of days ago in dark anthracite with matching side pods and it looks great.

Mechanically they are also very very good. They can make one off manifold and exhausts from head to tip and if they are anything like ones of their rods, they'll be awsome. Forget Jansport, thats all ill say. They tend to deal with hot rods. Nick has a 650+bhp rod running 9 sec quarters and his brother has a 9 liter, 950+bhp Chevy Nova running similar times. I think this is why they are so particular with there work. Any mistakes with cars like that could cause big trouble. Their current "small project" is a track day Fiesta with a 2 liter conversion that will be chucking out over 230bhp in N/a form. They are starting to make these as kits for the Ford market and will be available soon I think. So they are very capable when it comes to one off work.

If any of you are looking for an excellent body/paint shop then give Werx Paint or Nick a bell on 07817032515. Ive come up trumps finding them last month and just thought I should only pass my recomendations on to others.

All in all, as far as paint is concerned, ive had both front and rear bumpers resprayed, rear quarters, both front wings, one sill and the bonnet. I also had my wheels fully refurbed and my side pods sprayed in the same anthracite colour. I supplied both front and rear bumpers but Nick managed to have the rear bumper proffesionaly repaired by a TVR specialist. Obviously there was also a heap of other small repaires they carried out but all in all I was charged around £1700 all in.
Because they've done such a good job with the car, Im taking it back in the summer to have a few layers of top coat sprayed over it just to make it that little bit more perfect all over.
