Alarm being over sensitive on a mk1 ??

Is the mk1 standard alarm known for being over sensitive to vibrations ?

Had a dude set it off with his exhaust the other day, plus a motorbike set it off yesterday. Then it went off again about 5 mins later :(

Are they very sensitive ?? Can it be altered so it's less sensitive ? If so will Renault do it ?
 
not just the mk1's bud - the mk2's have the same probs - low flying chinooks set mine off all the time lol

Go to search & type alarm and it brings up about 4 pages of threads quite a few of which should answer your query :D
