air filter query :/

I am tryin to get a replacement air filter for my v6 and all the aftermarket filters are too small...I have looked at pipercross but they do not have the sizes of it...does anyone know if this fits?

the one that was already in the car was 250 mm x 225 mm .... is this the standard one?

I got my from my local motor shope for £8. They took the measurments and it turns out to be the same filter from a Landrover V8?

Its a Fram filter and has been good as gold for months.

Kevin, do you have the Fram part number? I just called the company, gave them the measurements but nothing came up on their computer that would fit with a 10mm+/- tolerance.

Contact a shop called Car Parts and Accessories in Haslemere in Surrey. They had one on the shelf there and then. If you mention that Kevin the Fireman from Haslemere came in and prurchased one. They measured my old one from the phase 2 and inputted the length, width and thickness into there computer and one came up. If you give them the same details over the phone then I am sure they will give you the correct one. It might not even be Fram...?

Well, after a lot of searching I have managed to find the Fram filter that I guess you must have Kev. Not sure why Fram themselves couldn't find it! It's for a Range Rover, part number CA5602 and lists the dimensions as...

Height : 57 mm
Length : 254 mm
Width : 228 mm

I also found that Mahle make an air filter specifically for the V6 Mk2, part number LX 1052, OEM number 6020012405 with the following dimensions...

Height : 57.3 mm
Length : 254 mm
Width : 228.5 mm

Thats the one. I knew it was a Range/Land Rover or something. It fits spot on. Go for the Fram one.

Your local motorshop should have one or can order one in?

took down the part number for Fram and gonna make a few phone call tomorrow..
