350z

blakey

New Member
I was on the A303 near Yelverton and a Nissan 350Z over took to get behind me and then sat quite close to my rear bumper. After a roundabout, a lorry pulled out of the way just as a duel carriageway started.

Well to be honest I expected to be overtaken, he was giving it 100% but I was pulling away.

Normal? or a underpowered 350Z?

I backed off as it went back to single file roads, he started overtaking to prove something. Not worth it.

Any one else had any surprises?

1. Do you mean Yeovilton?

2. How do you know he was giving it 100%?

3. Driver could be rubbish.

4. You were near me, would love to have seen your Vee :)

350z I found not to be as quick as expect. Decent power like, but the things are towing a bit of beef with them like

2 versions of the 350Z exist (I think :s - cheers Will  ).

276bhp (Power to Weight - 184bhp per Ton)
&
296bhp (Power to Weight - 197bhp per Ton)

V6 Clio's are:

230bhp - 175bhp/T & 255bhp - 182bhp/T

Looks like you tackled a 276bhp version + wimp of a driver!

Info from LINK

PS, A Veyron is 521bhp/T [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

I changed my vee for a 350z and must say mine is definitely quicker than the vee (mine is the 313 version with the later engine), i would be surprised if the earlier 276 (and imports) were any quicker than a vee though

This would seem to be the case

There is also the 350Z 313BHP which should see off most V6s...

I was looking in to them a bit recently and as a secondhand purchase they do represent excellent vfm. The annual road tax at £475.00 would be painful though...but that goes for any similar car.

No worries mate, I take it wasn't you that I saw in Exeter this week? Black Vee with red calipers.

Cheers :)

Not me, black calipers on mine. Unsure of any in the Black ones in the Exeter area.

Got to be joking right? My work mate used to really piss off our old boss who had a bright yellow one wasn't an early one either. My mates E36 M3 was a bit roppey which made it all the more funny. Darrens M3 was no faster than my 230 and my 230 was no quicker than his. I never had a tustle with my old boss but I would have never thought he'd pull away.
