30 degree detail

VII Car Care

New Member
2006 SLK, this belongs to one of the private aircraft owners at work. Its his wife’s & it has never been polished since owning it! Not my best idea detailing a car in temps of 30 degrees! My arms were burnt to a crisp! I’m working on getting a tan on my legs! ;) Only a few before, I wanted to crack on. It really needed paint correction as it has been badly scratched by bushes down the sides, the joys of living in the country! It’s a shame as the colour is lovely.

I’ve been asked to do his 18 month old 911 in a few weeks too! J

So the process was

Pre soak with G101 on lowers & arches
Wheels cleaned with Dodo MY
Snow foam with hyper wash
Clayed with BS & Z18 on upper half
Clayed with BS & Dodo purposeful purple on lowers
Snow foamed
Washed 2bm & Z7
Wiped over with Megs last touch
Blackfire polish applied via hand app
Another wipe over with last touch
Chem guys Blitz
Supernatural applied thinly
Gloss It Spray seal applied
Wheels clayed, Polished & blitzed
Tyres, megs indurance
Autosol on exhausts
Fast glass on windows

On arrival

Simply awesome Dawn :approve:

You are quite confident at this now, oh and that's the cleanest B/G I've ever seen.

aww, [smilie=thanks.gif] James

Although It was bakeing, I loved doing this car today. The vee Is dirty atm, washed her last Thursday, bloody filthy again!

Question?

Are there any rechargeable polishing machines? Ones that could be used somewhere like a car meeting?

Unfortunately not James, I would love to have a pc that didn't need to be plugged In. The amount of times I've got tangled up with the cable
