#284 takes to some european driving

A couple of weekends ago I took the V6 on a bit of a european run with some friends. We attended the public trackday at Spa on the Friday and then ventured to a very busy Nurburgring on the Saturday.

The V6 behaved impeccably (helped largely by it's new set of supersports), and cemented to me just how fun it is when your pressing on, and also how adjustable it is near the limit belying it's reputation.

All weekend the car attracted a lot of attention, and much respect from the amassed car aficionados at both the ring and spa. Most people were delighted to see one in the flesh for the first time, and especially to see it being used. Owners of GT3 RS' and 458 Ferraris winked in acknowledgement sitting in front of the barriers waiting to join the Nordschleife.

A very fun weekend was had, topped off by an early sunday morning drive to Oulton park from the ferry to meet up with some of the other guys at Carfest North. I must say that the standard of cars on show at Carfest were excellent, and as a result I went straight home and wiped the tyre and brake dust of mine.... somewhat sadly.

Great pictures and nice to hear good comments being made.

Bet that Superleggera sounded good - yum 8)

It sounded epic accelerating up the hill out of the pits... absolutely epic. For me the amount of interest in the Vee amongst people who really know their cars reinforces that they really are a modern classic, and in years to come they'll be even more sought after than they are now.

Just for interest, the chap had turbocharged the Lambo (for when 570hp isn't enough!), and during the afternoon it spat it's coolant out which was a real shame. Incidentally, One of the M3's shown in the photo belonged to a Greek chap (lots of Greek owners with their cars on German plates) who had fitted a supercharger to it. The set-up was from a company called ESS and apparently delivers around 650hp... I don't know what's in the water over there when ~420hp (and 400Nm) isn't enough through your rear wheels!! Good on them!!
