Does anybody know if the standard stereo in the MK2's where fitted to other Renault models?

If so, which ones?

Cheers,

David.

Yep ... it's the standard Cabasse single CD unit in both 172/182s and Mk2 Vees. Vees have the multi-changer too as standard tho', which isn't true for Mk2 172/182s.

David.....definitely the 182....I had that before my Vee and it's identical....no CD changer in my 182 though....just the standard CD player....

Is it just the cd multi changer which is made by Alpine or is the head unit Alpine as well ?

Does this mean the multichanger will work with an Alpine stereo?

Cheers!

No mate afraid not.

Its a weird plug, all the new alpine head units use Ai-Net which is a totally different signal and connection.

The up side is the Alpine Ai-Net 6 disc changer fits into the original bracket
