24k service

Anyone know how much and also what's involved in a 24k service please?

Cheers in advance! :approve:

Oatz - I haven't got the details to hand, but my 22k mile V6 has just had this done - before I bought it. I have the details at home - I'll post them up tonight.

Right - according to the invoice, the service was carried out at a Renault main dealer in Surrey during March 07.

Total cost: £253 (incl VAT)

Service was the usual stuff: Oil change, top up gear box oil, replace cabin filter and then the normal checks and visual inspections on brakes, suspension, steering gaiters etc etc

Nothing too major as far as I can see.

Thanks for this. I've been doing a bit of investigating and the price of a 24k service seems to vary quite a lot.... SG quote £313 plus VAT whilst some Renault dealers are quoting within the £150 mark. I just wonder whether Renault know exactly what is involved with a 24k service being over 100% cheaper than the all knowledgeable Scott as I would prefer to take mine back to Scott as opposed to letting some spotty teenager rag my car under the guise of giving it a service......?

Seeing as Scott's reputation preceeds him on this site, I'd be inclined to use him. Because they are unusal cars, you can't help thinking that a specialist is so much better. As long as Scott does the service to the minimum requirements as specified by Renault (which obviously he will) then it won't affect your warranty either.

Used to have the same prroblem with the RX8. Many Mazda garages and technicians were very unfamilar with the rotary engine. I was always happier taking my car to Rotekniks who have spent the last 15 years looking after rotary engines.

Clutch cable ?

Just been quoted around £500 (£450 with some discount) for a 4 year service including air filter, cabin filter, brake fluid, coolant, oil change etc. etc.

This comes down by about £100 if you have a pipercross filter and a further £45 if you supply your own oil ...
