2014 V6clio.net Calendar

Right, I know it's only February but we're already turning our attention to the 2014 club calendar and thought it sensible to fire up a thread for discussion, pictures and general banter! We also thought it would be cool to post up pics from the 2013 calendar as each month starts.

The inaugural calendar appeared to be well received by almost everyone, however, we'd be lying if we said it was easy to get hold of enough good pics so this is a general plea / challenge to everyone to get involved. The added benefit is that whether your photos are chosen or not this place will have a lot more great pics to enjoy :)

Entry rules are as follows:

1. Classy pics only please, as nice as we're sure they are, we don't want pics of your car on the driveway with your dog in the background;
2. We want as many different coloured Vee's as possible so if you're lucky enough to own one of the rarer ones then we'd be especially grateful for you entries (any leads that result in pics of an Inferno or Moonlight will result in a small prize);
3. The pics have to be a suitable resolution and can't be taken with a camera phone or iPad;
4. We're hoping to have a seasonal feel this year so welcome pics that reflect different times of the year; and
5. Deadline for submissions is the end of November so plenty of time to get snapping.

As before, the final pictures will be chosen by a distinguished panel of judges :tumble:

You may choose whether to keep your pics a secret or to post them on the forum beforehand. We prefer to use never-before-seen images but realise that it can very hard to keep a great pic under wraps for so long.

Thanks in advance for your support, please feel free to post any questions, comments, pictures on here :)

Here's January, we thought it was only right to start the year with the James' Vee:

There's a criminal lack of decent photos of this great car but we finally settled for this post-detail pic from Dawn's hanger. We're already targeting this car for some serious photography this year :)

An here's February, which is now Mark's Vee. We thought we'd have loads of Phase 1 photos submitted but nearly everything we received was from Phase 2 owners. Anyway, this is a great pic and was definitely worth including:

If you need any tips let me know. Which one did you buy - I'm used to Nikon's but generally they are the same.

Good work on getting this started early. I'm not in possession of a fancy dslr, so the quality of mine might not be up to the standard of others.

Don't let any shortcomings in your experience / kit get in the way, we're sure you'll be able to take some great shots :approve:

Here's March's pic, this is Phil's Vee which was snapped on a lovely day in the Lake District (during our Honeymoon LOL):

Great car, great scenery and great photo (even if I do say so myself ;) ) mini meet during our honeymoon was great fun!

I don't understand this photo wizardry stuff. Admitadly the ones of Bens car are out of fucus but the photo's we have here of france and the rest of the year are very good quality using a very good quality camera. I can't see the problem using similar quality pictures. Blown up to A3 size and they are still much clearer than 95% of last years calender pics. Like I say, I'm clueless! Lol

Personal opinion.

A fair few pictures on here taken from others look fantastic. Many of which I would't get bored of seeing on a calender even if I walked past it 50 times a day. I'm not fussed if they've been posted before.

We desperately wanted to use these but he didn't have them in high-res :(

Blake probably has the original high res he took in France, I only have a couple of jpeg he sent me, will have to ask

Who would have thought you can get lovely weather in March in the Lake District 8) We had a nice drive around that day too :race:
