Hi All
Just a quick update for you, we're pleased to announce that the calendar will be in the club shop very soon. When it hits the shelves I'm sure James and co will be able to inform you all via a round robin message [smilie=yay.gif]
Anyway, we wanted to provide a bit of information which will hopefully answer some recurring questions:
1. When open, the calendar is A3 portrait size with the top half a picture of an owners car and the bottom half the dates for the relevant month. The days for each month are represented by boxes which you can use to write things in. The boxes also state the usual notable dates (Christmas / Easter etc.).
2. The calendar will be printed on premium glossy paper.
3. All calendars will be posted in rigid certificate style envelopes to avoid damage. Because the calendar is A4 size when closed it should fit through standard letter boxes.
4. As this is the first year we have done anything like this, production numbers for the calendar will be strictly limited. Once they are sold out it is highly unlikely that any more will be produced so please order early to avoid disappointment.
5. We will ensure that all calendars get to members before Christmas (hopefully well before).
6. We will not be revealing which cars have been selected in the calendar as this will spoil the surprise
7. The price will be confirmed when it hits the store.
Please can we take this opportunity to thank everyone who entered photos of their cars for consideration. The final choice of pictures was made by a small panel of 'distinguished' members. In deciding who's pictures were finally included we had to consider the following things:
1. The quality of the photo (in terms of how good the shots were and the resolution of the picture); and
2. We wanted a decent mix of car colours so only chose a maximum of 2 pictures of the same colour.
I guess what I'm trying to say is please don't have a go at us if your picture wasn't used in the end. Also, the calendar is a new project for the club so please only provide constructive feedback. Having said that, we're really pleased with how this has turned out and feel that it fits in well with the classy nature of the club
Finally, can I personally thank everyone who has helped with the production of the calendar. That includes the judging panel, Mrs E for refining the final photos and of course everyone who took the time to take pictures of their car and send them to me. It's been great fun :approve:
