172/182 Headlights

I'm looking to swap my grey headlights for the earlier black ones. Would this 172/182 headlight do the job?

The black xenon's do like so much better.

The ebay headlight will fit no problems, are u a member of the "other clio sport forum" as there is a complete black pair on there for £150 delivered.

Hwne buying 2nd hand be careful that they come with ignitor, ballast and bulbs as these are costly items to replace. And you you will sell your grey ones complete to make your money back. Also it best to but some close to you and pick them up as these lights get broken in transit.

Thanks for your advice. Will have a look at the set you mentioned. Words like igniter & ballast confuse my non technical brain & I thought I'd bollo-x it up if I didn't ask someone who knew first! I would ask if anyone on here wants to swap black lights for grey but I suspect I'd be waiting a long time for a positive response.

V6's with black xenon's are rareish due to only the early 255 V6's having the black lights (53,04's) due to the mk3 phase 1 172's 2001 to 2004 having the same colour lights and the 182's (04 to 06) having the silver xenon's.

Yes bulbs, ignitor and ballasts are all part of the package for headlights but all are expensive item to replace.
