Well there was a mk1 escort with a full 4x4 cossie conversion that went on ebay for £6k about a month ago! Again I know what I'd choose!!

Do the owners ever poke there heads up? U see allot of these adds pop up on the Facebook groups.. And no one ever has a claim to fame..although I think that's maybe my fault in thinking every 5 owner is on Facebook/forum

The thing with this one is he has every single receipt, he knows what has been spent and what needs to be spent to get a car to that condition.
if you wanted your car to look like that you'd be hard pushed to do it for much less than 15k & you'd spend a lot of time doing it.
3k solid shell
5-6k body kit, bodywork and paint
2k re trim
2k engine/turbo
and then there's all the little odds and sods
Limited market but worth the cash IMO, just will never get it unfortunately

My car owes me 7K at the moment. Best I was offered when it was for sale was £5250. You never get your money back if you havent budgeted properly. 
It is a lovely looking car, but he is dreaming if he thinks he'll get the money bk that he put in. It's only got a limited market because of the modifications. Most people are OE purists when buying these cars nowadays.
To be honest I think he'd struggle selling it for £8000. I'm not slating the car, to me it's epic, but £15000 is an unrealistic evaluation in the current market.

My thoughts exactly mate. Most of us who love these cars are getting on a bit, and are after the pure original look. However, as I've said before, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Somebody may love this car but the market is going to be very, very limited. A limited market and a huge price tag will make a sale pretty hard.

already got another dimma kit in garage got it awhile back as hadn't seen one come up for awhile I actually got it incase someone hit me or I had a miss hap but now using it on another shell hehe so ill have two one with a cj1 and not sure about the other as if this one passes an mot might be thinking rear engine proper copy of a turbo two
