Just to let those of you know that have not been to see Dave or any of the Clarke clan, or been to Snetterton before, get yourself down because they are both really great things. I'll be creating a TNT event on FB to spread the word.
Hi Steve - sorry, I must have missed you posting this. We are still going as part of the ECM, I'll be wearing my TurboRenault T-shirt and simply having the crack with Dave and the gang, wooping him along as he pits his wits and his banana against the bigger players. Details will be added as we get closer to the day.
Well Clarkey day is looming (in a good way) - I know there are about 5 of us making the trip down to Snetty on Sat morning. My plan is to meet up with a few mwmbers @ 8am at Thickthorn services, pop down, stop off for a McSausage and coffee on the way down and get in to see the action. I think this is enough time. I'll check with the timetable.
Sorry Andy, my sleep patterns have gone awry again - it happens in phases.
8am @ Thickthorn is way too early when and if I have a rough night. It looks
like I'm gonna pay for today's escapades anyway. As we were pushing the R5
back to turn it round, Karl was saying just how heavy these little cars are,
promptly followed by him swinging the wheel and front wheel running over
my foot...
By 'eck, it was an ouch moment!
I've also pulled out of going to the Sporting Bears do on Sunday. I might go out
and bed the brakes in on the R5 - still not got above 4th gear yet...
Snetterton was great - Dave had his work cut out, there where some truly amazing cars out on track, but none sounded as good as yellow 5. Had great weather, I think I may camp next time.
Oli had issues and Karl had no issues with the Raider, we all did a car swap and I must say it was nice to get in karls, getting that wiff of old skool 5 and then jumping in Oli's 2l beast - that trundles along amazingly well. Did I mention his brakes? Damn!!!
