£19,500 for a mk2 illiad with 33k miles

I think its a fantastic idea as a club to try and move up the value of the vees. A club such as this could certainly have an impact on such a thing... :approve: :approve: :approve:

NOTE: I've just edited this thread to remove mention of "history" regarding one of the cars discussed. Having looked at the history and discussed with other club officers, the decision is that the "evidence" is very slight and a long way away from being "beyond reasonable doubt". Hence, as much as it's a key part of the club to maintain known history about Vees in our register, this must be based on fact rather than conjecture, especially when that starts impacting a car's value.

As with all car purchases, especially of rare and expensive but relatively easy to bend cars like Vees, a good car inspection should identify any history a seller has failed to mention.

I reckon the value of these cars is going to start going up anyway over the next few years. If you're in it for the long haul i don't think you'll lose any money now. Good ones are getting rarer and harder to find. As James said, there will always be people desperate to sell given changes in circumstances that are unforeseen but for the most part if people are looking after these cares then i think the values will start going up.
The good thing is most of these cars are well looked after as are owned by enthusiasts who appreciate they're a little bit special.

As for the car above, is this the one also on youtube doing a run through the tunnel with the Prospeed exhaust? If so, is saying has had £8k of work done to it on tuning etc which might be why is trying to get top whack price for it.
