    Mmmmmmmmaybe I had a little snigger :)

There's a vid on FB from my mates KTM Xbow, he's behind me and we batter it past a Ferrari on the pit straight, before he chips past me on the next bit. It shows quite well that we weren't hanging about lol. Trying to get a public copy...

Looks well planted on the corners. Porsche driver - "all the gear no idea" lol to put it into the pit wall backwards is a massive fail

That can am doesn't sound like it's really trying, whilst still destroying everything in it's wake...! :)
    Couple of comments:
    1. That had to be the most pointless air vent in a dashboard?! Not exactly going to heat you/the car up a lot (no roof) and your not going to complain too much of being hot whilst the wind is whistling round your ear holes?
    2. Your mate needs to learn heel & toe with that car, when he's shifting down without a little blip of the throttle, you can see it unsettles the car. (The names not Rohrl, but that's how it looks to me)

That is a rather quick vehicle and sounds meaty.

    Seems that you had fun;-)
and makes me want to go to the track,
and makes me want to have an Ultima (maybe in another life, LOL)

Mark built the Ultima himself, in a single garage at his house. Took him almost two years, and it's a properly nice job too. It's extremely quick, 500+ bhp LS3 and soon to be more too. He's working on sorting out the handling which by all accounts is pretty bad from the factory with terrible bump steer due to the badly designed steering geometry!
I did a pax lap of the Nurburgring in it last year, it sounds EPIC.

    Found this in the week.

Not pleased! Bought a new tyre to replace it, had that fitted yesterday. Fitter reckons pothole damage. What a waste of a virtually new tyre :'(

Did a few bits today. Wired up the Mac valve properly with some shielded cable and routed it properly, then made a loom to put the starter kick on a relay to try and cure the click-no-starter-motor issue that has been annoying the shit outs me lately.

    20150418_120510.jpg 20150418_122310.jpg
Then I fitted it and the starter cranks every time now. Most pleased.
Tidied up some wiring too, then lobbed the Volvo washer pump in. Its basically an S60 pump jammed in a 16mm hole with a bit of sealer and wired up to the normal wiring. Works really well.
I also bought some S60 jets and fitted those with a bit of a faff, and although they're in it was a waste of time as their angle is way way too low.
They just clean the back of the wiper blades lol. Can't win em all eh. Pity they were fifteen quid a pair! Bastard.

Also took a ciggy lighter USB thing apart, soldered some wires to the terminals and hooked it up to the power for the stereo, which I have removed as I haven't switched it on in years. Couldn't hear shit when it was on anyway lol.
So today is mostly win, with one small fail!

Pistonheads meet tomorrow morning. Looking forward to an extended blast!

Last tweak carried out monday before leaving froggy jaunt. Sickly air filter replaced with shiny new big one. Found on evilbay while browsing for random shit to buy, listed as slightly damaged. Fifteen quid! When it arrived the box was a bit squidged at the corners but the filter is perfect. Winner!

Lack of updates here due to extreme reliability. (I know, WTF, right?!?! :D)

However the wiper linkage decided to die at Blyton so i'm assembling parts to fix that....brand new motor and i'm going to rebuild the monged linkage with rose joints :)
In the mean time, have some tracktastic pics of my beloved being hammered around Blyton.

Back wheel almost, almost off the floor! Not bad for a 1420kg, 4wd beastie clap.gif

This is a great pic, pity about the ugly tosser bent over the engine bay reassembling his broken wiper linkage :D

Thanks to @sammytripod@sammytripod and @andybond@andybond for the piccies!

Ahh memories, the first job I had to do on my old white PH3 was change snapped linkage.

Had Roddy over at my house the other day with his lovely Datsun and 21, I miss the old 21!
