The Film I have just watched...

John Wick - not a fan of Keanu so wasnt sure whether to watch it BUT it was very good in a John Woo way. Give it an 8!

Lucy - not bad until the end…upon which everything I’d seen prior to that paled into insignifance. Give it a 3!

Nebraska - shot in B&W, however its a quite amusing father and son journey…Give it a 7

Sunshine on Leith - described as a film about 2 soldiers adjusting to life after the Gulf War.
This was a lie. A big lie.
Scottish men prancing around singing songs akin to Glee for the tight bastards.
Avoid. Give it a 2!

I watched John Wick last week. I thought it was great.

Also… Sponge Bob Square Pants.
My nieces took me to see it and I found it funnier than they did.
So many “grown up jokes” dotted around as well as the usual silliness.
If you want to watch something very light hearted, I’d recommend it.
8/10

Night Crawler

Jake Gillywilly

Scumbag trying to make a living out of becoming a news VTrecorder - great bit part by Bill Paxton who to be fair has never been the same since he suggested an 8 year old girl go fight an alien instead of a platoon of USA Marines.

A bit nasty, but like some freaks we all might know trying desperately to get to the top.

7/10

Another positive for John Wick. I was almost disappointed because I really wanted a “Matrix” level of choreography but still enjoyed it a lot.

Spongebob, i’m really looking forward to watching that. Kids or no kids!

Interstellar
I’d give it 9/10.
It’s a bit like the movie signs with Mel Gibson in a round a bout way. But without the unbelievable alien looking creature that ended up looking like the Grinch!!!

Set in the future, mankind is looking for another planet to inhabit, our earth is deteriorating with dust storms.
A test pilot from a gone era takes on a non-return mission to a black hole to discover it’s secrets.
That’s all I’m saying. Few twists in there, great effects, good story line and good acting given by Mathew McConnehey?

I enjoyed Nightcrawler a lot. Very dark and strangely amusing.

I’d not go past a 7.5 on that cos the ending was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out there. Same with lucy and predestination…the endings left me sitting there with a “WTF did I just watch!!!” look on my mush.

Would have been a 7 but I really liked the big slab TARS robot thing lol

Yes, tars was pretty cool, good concept!

Anyone seen starred up, ?
British film about a young guy in prison with his dad.
Pretty good actually. I’d give it 8/10

Yeah, wasn’t bad…I like the lad in the lead role. Imagine finding out your Dads an iron haha

Well well well - Drive!

Picture the scene, Saturday night few beers and a take away. Read the brief description and thought “oh yes bit of me this”
What a load of shit!
Don’t get me wrong it’s beautifully filmed and acted but if like me your thinking carchases, shootings etc then I’m afraid you’re very much mistaken.
The main guy generally walks around doesn’t say anything and sulks throughout the film, bit too out of context over graphic violent too. The other lady is hot though but a bit like the guy she’s a bit of a boring c**t too and she’d piss me right off just looking moody all the time.
The strapping for the film is
“What do you do”
“I drive”
No you don’t. In fact you do very little.
Film renamed to
DRIVEL!!

Lots of people raved over this, I wondered what they were on about because I agree wholeheartedly. Drivel, with added YAWN.

Film frustration setting in early in this year, there is a LOT of epic stuff due out this year and i’m waiting…Avengers, Terminator, Mad Max… HURRY UP.

Just been to the cinema to see the new Mad Max…not bad at all

I liked the Peacemaker:

Ex Machina, up at 5.30 this morning with the little one so chucked it on. odd one but i enjoyed it i think? was good but not much going on, a little twisted but nothing too nutty.

Mad Max Fury Road! Pretty good although didn’t really have the impact of the originals, maybe cos I am an old fart now. Or maybe it was cos I was in a cinema with freezing cold AC & I wasn’t feeling the Namibian desert!

I massively need to see this film…

It is mad :0). Never seen a film with such relentless action - and next to no CGI. Non-stop adrenalin fuelled rollercoaster ride.

get it watched mate, they all die at the end

Some CGI I noticed, that looked a bit rubbish, was fire coming out of the guitar on the Doof Wagon

edit…is that a Ford Falcon…

Still havent seen it.

Ex Machina was very clever.
