PICNIC
problem in chair not in car

Driving lamp now changed and as a bonus, it works.

2 left to go.

  1. dodgy oil temp
  2. aircon

Warranty being transferred over to me ..

I used to dream of aircon on the last euro tour (pre kids lol). When the cabin temp is 43-53deg and Italian epic traffic jams kick in you can smell the glue reminising on its orignial bonding process lol

That’s proper nice Andy. I had a passenger ride in one last year, man it was like it was on rails. Great car:+1:t2:

Same issue at first fuel stop following purchase despite me looking this up

I’ve got a long one of those

Friend of mine has just bought an Evora S so looking forward to a go in that

Went out to get fuel tonight.

Except the car clunked a death clunk.

Battery goosed?

That was my initial thoughts. Lined up the wife’s mini and reached into the boot to get to the battery.

Noticed a terminal was loose.

So was the other.

I tightened the terminal and TADA. Back to life.

Car is now full of fuel ( 31l so must have a few litres left )

Roll on blyton

Welcome to the slippy slope..You should be used that that though :clapping.gif:

As duncan says smoothness is the key. too early on the power and all you’ll get is understeer. Wait for the front end to bite with a bit of trail braking and the rear will come round - and yes they do bite! ive been off at 60+ mph in the wet round KH

Instagram Linky

I have been quite timid with the throttle so far as the c63 used to slide like crazy when getting on the power early. Literally the front end would plant and the back end want to rotate.

Took it out in the wet last night and dare not press on. The c63 would have tried to kill me.

Nah it dont work like that  little movie in the instagram link of me putting it sideways. ANy earlier on the throttle and it would have pushed wide . I gave my FF racer mate Ross a go and he was all over the place with it lol.

I recall a 720 spin out of druids at Oulton part one cold damp November track day…

…on a bloody sighting lap lol.

Great ikle cars!!!

Having driven rear engines cars a lot on circuit my main advise would be to keep your foot in once your committed and use the brakes just before you turn in to try and transfer a bit of weight to the front - this is very effective once you perfect it. Make sure you have something super grippy on the front tyre wise.

Further good advice Tony, a careful balance with keeping toe in but is my default on track and managing weight transfer key. Brakes as you say can really balance the car and also a healthy stab moves the weight to the front giving good turn in and more progressive rear

Been taking to a, chap you know @Duncan Grier last night - Chris ex Jon Seal …

Good guy

Was this the one i was at, and if i recall it was after some quips about me having extra tuition and stuff?

It was indeed the same day and after giving you some friendly crap LOL

When I came back in with grass on the roof marshal said there is tuition available just to take the pee further

lol awesome, back in the days with no kids and little responsibility, a track day a month was nearly the norm! there were a fair few of us there that day too (y)

Remember them all well and some cracking events / regular track days! Imagine I am well off pace nowadays on track :frowning:

Who said kids, houses, work would change anything lol
