I've never changed them so I can't help mate, maybe @quadrastu@quadrastu or @Red21@Red21 will have changed some though they're both Renault tech's :)

Bit more progress while the beam issue is still on the back burner.
Last bit of welding sorted - plus fuel tanks and brake lines fitted.
Also got replica dealer plates and stickers made up.

    Just for BIG STEVE

    A little R5 progress today.

Powder Coated Spare wheel fitted with a Pirelli tyre and balanced.

Plus spent ages cleaning fuel filler neck up - was covered in under seal. Fitted new filter bracket etc.

I got it from mike gt turbo spares last year. Think it was about £4. It was listed on his site.

I've taken beam to a friends garage and he's looking at removing old bushes and fitting replacements. Potentially he's sourced a set but until they are fitted wont know for sure if they are correct. But at a first glance they look right.

Great work @Jimmy 5@Jimmy 5! Love the fact that you're not letting the rear bushes problem get the better of your moral and that you're pushing on with things whilst potential solutions are in progress! Definitely on the home straight now, keep it up mate!! :i-m_so_happy.gif:

Well the rear beam is back - so this Christmas Eve decided to fit the beam.

It needs adjusting to ride height I want but its now on with new bushes.

Yep it's very low need to adjust beam to right level before putting torsion bars back in. Job for next year! Prob needs dropping 100mm

Big thanks to Jonathan Smith for helping me out with rear beam.
We had loads of hassle with torsion bars but back end is all sorted
New bushes seemed to have held up well!
Just sills to drill sideskirt mountings and its ready for paint.
