Not updated this thread for ages and seems that older pictures have been deleted

Anyway the five was totally stripped to a bare shell for welding. Its had new inner and outer sills, jacking points and various other bits of welding done to it. Its now totally solid.

Then I stripped the front subframe, had that powder coated and all suspension rebuilt, utilising koni adjustable shocks and Powerflex bushes.

    Also bought some morettes

Car now turned to allow rear beam to have the same treatment.

Also had loads of other parts powder coated or zinc plated - heres some photos of this years work

    ENJOY!

Got to agree, with the lads soooooooo cool!!!,like the Morrette style lights and the silver.I am a sucker for Ronal turbo alloys on 5s,i am defo getting one next year.Put it off for years, with other cars, the itch needs to be scratched.Top work by the way

Cheers all, pics posted are all this years work. Struggling with rear beam at moment as haven't a deep enogth socket to properly hold bolts on passenger side. But once I've worked out a way to get that off its clean underneath and start reassembling tanks, fuel pump etc. also got delights off fitting new brake pipes. Unsure weather to buy one of them kits off eBay. Old fuel pipes look good so will probably get them zinc plated.

How did you get the metal bits clean enough to plate? Did you plate them yourself?

Who did the body repairs? they are very good!
