Modern Twingo RS133 300mm brake upgrade (+Clio 172/182)

So another Adeyspec PMT, DIY, driveway built upgrade, and this one is very simple, though I take no responsibility for you messing it up. If you can change a set of brake pads you should be able to do this. It consists of replacing your RS133 front calliper carrier with another Renault part to move it further away from the hub allowing you to fit a bigger disc brake. The carrier is from the Laguna 2 and the disc that is then used is from a Scenic. The OEM disk is a 280mm the same as the Clio 172 the Scenic disk comes in at 300x24mm. Pics are a little lacking as its such a simple job but strip everything down as if you were doing a full brake overhaul, new discs and pads. Go the extra and remove the carrier fully as well. 20211103_110000.jpg Clean everything up and give it a lick of paint so it looks pretty 😁 20211031_174430.jpg Refit the new 300mm discs, the larger carrier and calliper along with your choice of brake pad and jobs a good one (y) 20211105_144225(0).jpg Now the RS133 comes with 16 and 17 inch wheels, these "should" clear the brakes fine. On my own car I had to step up from 15s to 16s as they physically wouldn't fit over the brakes. 20211105_143853.jpg20211105_143845.jpgIMG-20211105-WA0012.jpg20211106_131341.jpgIMG-20211106-WA0008.jpg To do the same conversion on a Clio 172 or 182 you will need the Laguna/RS133 callipers as well, after that the job is the same, you will need RS133/Laguna brake pads to suit, the fitment/spacing to the hub between the 172 and RS133 is the same but the carriers and callipers are different. 7701209199 should be the carrier part number, please check for yourself. 7701207897 for the disc The reg of the vehicle I got the parts off (carriers and callipers) was RF06 VUK, please use this to check the parts you buy. Happy PMT motoring (y)
