The manifold is a standard thread matey, M10 x 1.5, although the double threaded thing was a pain I must admit and I did the same thing welding the adapter to the manifold. In fact we seem to have arrived at the same solution pretty much, save that I have a screamer pipe :)

Sorry, I ment other side, finding nuts that were slim enough to be able to cut the manifold studs down. Was a bit of head scratching going on haha.
Was tempted for a screamer but these days it's just early warning for the police, esp a daily!
What size turbo are you and lee using atm?

I'm on a standard size T3, but with 360 thrusts and a .48 cossie turbine housing. Nothing special. I'll be moving to a GTX3076 with the new lump though.

    I think Lee was on a T34, but now a rollerbearing GT28-variant.... 2876 maybe?

Interesting. I was thinkin 30/71 if I ever upgrade.
Did you both trial the vxr injectors? What boost/power/torque did you guys see and were they max'd out? Or did the std cam run out of puff? Got a set here but don't know whether to go bigger from the off :download.gif:

I used the VXRs and Scoff said at 251bhp/302lbft Id maxxed the injector out, so I now run the black 660cc variant.
He said its odd as they are fine in Clios etc upto 300 odd bhp but the torque curve in a 21 demanded so much from the injector it just couldnt cope.

Are they long or short the 21 injectors ? I cant recall ? Only reason I mention is Siemens do a deka 630 injector that copes well with the torque on a meg.

21 are the longer Bosch version, Siemens are smaller.
I'm using a .63 t34 so will hopefully be less torquey and move the powerband higher up.
Was the 251bhp on a stock engine with the vxr's or did you have the cam in there too? And at what boost?

    Stock engine with VXR's a T34 with .48 Cossie housing at 25psi

I'm using the VXR's too. 242bhp, 280 torque and ran out of clutch. 18psi boost on a T3. I reckon i'd have matched Lee's figures, which would make sense as we were on a similar spec...standard engine internals.
You'll get valve float much over that with a cam so double spring it, and a 63 housing will do what you want at the cost of lag.

I'm curious as to when the std cam runs out of puff. Std 21's seem to be flat just after 5k. Currently on the std ecu, because it bogs where it should come on boost, it comes alive at 4200. I'm all for lag. If you want instant boost just drop it down a gear ;)

Hmm. That won't be getting changed, not for a while anyway.
I see lee is on the std plenum top, you've got the txi one though haven't you? Might just put the vxr's in just for a comparison as we have different set-ups but all std blocks ;)

There are two types on the Siemens. Shorts for the meg , and longs ...

Jealous. All these little variants will make a good comparison. Probably nothing lol.

Don't they just. I think the chrome suits every colour except white. Think it looks the part as more black bits go on.
