Thought I would start an thread about my latest Renault turbo.

Its a 2006 Megane 225 with cup pack fitted.

I collected the car last night, its a nice car, service history, recent belts and water pump change.

Sadly its in need of a few pennies spent, but such is life.

Also covered in R26r replica stickers and a K-tec sun strip. All of which are well stuck on, will take my time when removing them - any hints?

Also its in need of a minor service, fresh tyres and wheels repainted.

I have brought an air compressor, paint curer and paint for the wheels and some for the car (thinking of painting the spoiler and wing mirrors silver to match the car).

The car drives well, has a full scorpion exhaust (has burnt the rear bumper sadly), had a remap by K-Tec 4 years ago, and a independent RR print out of 250bhp.... Will be getting a better remap when I have fitted a front Mount and fresh filter.

Also need to remove the gay gauges, they light up but don't work..

Am looking forward to the odd track day and venture into Europe

Hair dryer to the stickers, it will heat up the glue and peel off nice and easy

Yep, warm them up as best you can. Looks a reasonable motor save the stickers :)

Yeah I know.... If I had an R26r I would keep the stickers.... This one ain't that so they are going :)

Stickers don't cost the earth should I change my mind.

    Welcome to the club mate.

Who stuck that sun visor on, Stevie Wonder? ;)

Sun visor was shocking.. Very poor job fitting it, but overall bodywork is pretty decent :)

No stickers, anthracite wheels, equals a tidy looking 225

Agreed about the stickers, but I think the red alloys suit the silver body colour.

Its been raining hard.... A common fault has been found... Water in the passenger door pocket. Another job to sort when it stops pissing down

Thats due to a broken speaker seal more than likely.

Had some spare time today, removed all the stickers, sadly the roof ones have left "burn marks" from the glue, no matter what I tried i couldn't get them off, I reckon the roof will need a mop or repainting.

However the rest of the car is fine, managed to wash the car, clay bar it and put 1 coat of polish in before it started raining.

Overall I am happy with the look, orange wheels are growing on me... So not going to paint them just yet :)

Looks miles better without the stickers. The wheels look ok red imo.

Needs a decat, intercooler upgrade, 630cc injectors and map ;) Totally transforms the car
