  1. Hi all

I picked this little beauty up two weeks ago. I'm really pleased with her. My first car was an 1983 base model and I had an 1984 Le Car 2 TL after that. I always wanted another mk 1 R5 in my life and I plan to preserve this one. Only 32000 miles from new, no welding or repairs and all very original.

that's lovely. if you need to give it a bit more oomph, a 1.4 bottom end will fit the 1.1 head. :)

  7. Hi

Can anyone recommend good tyres for my car? She currently has Michelin 145 R13 (MX on front and XZX on rears.) I would like to find a good modern replacement, ideally Michelin.

Also, the rear window hinges have come unstuck from the glass (a common problem I guess.) Does anyone know a good way of fixing this?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

  9. The car was only driven up to the end of 86 and was then kept in a dry garage. Am driving her very gently and changing the oil and coolant a lot while she gets used to being on the road again ;)

I put some Michelin's on mine.... I can't remember the size off the top of my head.
they were standard size for the ATMO Gordini and didn't look too big.... 175/65 maybe?
