Does any one have any information about the renault 5 car that famous and notorious Dublin criminal Martin Cahill (AKA "The General") was shot dead in in 1994. ? Cahill became famous for a a couple of spectacular Jewellery Robberies and the Robbery of a number of the alfred Beit paintings from RussBourough House at Blessington co Wicklow. He was shot dead in his black Renault 5 (reg no 91 D 11338) at Ranlagh in Dublin in august 1994. His Notoriety and infamy was feuled by a number of films and books. most notable being the 1998 film "The General" staring Brendan Glesson. the film ordinary decent criminal staring Kevin Spacey is loosely based on Cahills life. Is it Possible that his Renault car still exists??

(Isn't there rules around deaths in cars, ie they have to be scrapped?)
