It's about time I made a progress thread.

I've owned the car for almost 4 years and to be honest it's not changed that much. It has mostly been maintenance:

    Front hubs replaced
    Both track rod ends replaced
    All discs, bearings and pads
Both side window regulators, looms and switches replaces

A little list of things I've done so far -
    DS2500 Pads
    Braided brake lines
    Short shift mod
    Rear window tints
    Heko wind deflectors
    Interior and exterior LEDs
    Pressed plates
    HID conversion
    Polarised wheel bolts

and that's about it! Nothing special so far.

Later in the year I'm looking at -
    Intercooler (probably from Airtec)
    Stage 1 remap
    Intake (not sure yet)
    .R spolier
    Carbon B Pillars

Not got that many interesting photos, but here are a few anyway

I'll update this as and when things get done, hopefully progress will be swift!

    Cheers,

Nothing much to update, but I noticed my exhaust was quite wonky. A quick look underneath found this -

Popped in to Renault and bought a replacement, it's now hanging nice and even again.

ClioSport mounts do the same sort of things, they're effing shite!

It doesn't appear to be the sturdiest of things. I may buy a couple more and replace the others now to save a job when they inevitably fail whilst I'm miles from home.

Powerflex might do a better item? I lobbed one on the 21 about a decade ago and it's still there holding the back half of the exhaust in place :)

I've had a look on the Powerflex website but nothing is listed for the Megane unfortunately.

So I was having a clean under the bonnet and decided to remove the insulation to give it a spruce up and to clean behind it too, and I managed to tear it. I'm sure I could have made it hold together, but it was bugging me so I ordered a new one and it arrived next day.

I often query if I should remove mine. Its battered!

It had been annoying me for a while, and then when I ripped it I decided that that was the excuse I needed to replace it. I know it's hardly seen but still...

I hope they are cheaper than the 21 one was when I priced it up!

Little bit of an update as it's been a while. Busy day today, had a few things arrive in the post over the past few weeks and today was the first chance I've had to get them sorted and fitted. The main thing is an intercooler -

I didn't want to have a big shiny cooler visible through the grill so out came the paint

Much better. Then came the swap which was really easy and took just under 2 hours from bonnet up to bonnet down -

Very happy. I've yet to go for a run to compare the inlet temperatures but I'll be able to do that in the next day or so.

Next was just a simple speaker upgrade -

    And not forgetting the tweeters!

The new ones are crisper and have a little bit more of a bass punch to them so quite happy all round....then my aircon compressor shat itself so that's next on the to do list!
