My Clio 200 megane R26 engine conversion, started back in September 2012, although I loved the standard 200, after a while I started to get bored with the power, 200bhp just didn't do it for me.
At first I was looking at the supercharger kit from Ktec racing, but unfortunately at the time they hadn't finished testing their demo car and was encountering problems, which led to them holding back the kit for sale.
So I decided to have the engine replaced for a megane engine. It was a struggle to find one at first, but I came across a company called 'Rally Prep' and thankfully they had a R26 engine and box inc all ancillaries, which was in great condition and working order.
All I needed to supply from other sources was both drive shafts and gear stick and linkage.
I got it touch with Ktec racing again and told them I had an engine and I wanted them to fit it, as they'd done a couple before.
Two weeks later the conversions was done.
    This consisted of:
    - Engine and box replacement to a Megane R26 engine and box (LSD) too ;)
    - custom down/hard pipe
    - custom 60mm front mount intercooler
    - KTR induction kit.
    - KTR cat back exhaust system inc sports cat
    - Custom re-map (266bhp 305lbft)
    - Service inc belts
Now obviously this set me back a few quid, but that didn't bother me once I had the car back. What a complete transformation! I was in love with the 200 all over again. It drove beautifully and delivered the power perfect.
I'm still in love with the car 18months down the line, and don't ever want to let it go.
future plans rant set in stone, but I'm planning to upgrade the turbo to either Hybrid or Megane 250 turbo, 630cc injectors, Forged Con rod bolts, and another map. This should see me close to the 300bhp region.
This may be getting done this year! But I will keep you posted of progress.
I've uploaded a few pics of the build for those thinking about the conversion!

With the rods , bolts , turbo ( use the Megane 250 and ask RSTuning to hybridise it ) decent filter plus injectors you will smash 300bhp. 330-340 probably. Torque should be monstrous too 330ftib +

Yeah will see past 300 but with all that torque, the internals will be under a lot of strain, didn't really want to go fully forged, just enough to get about 300. But we shall see yeah ingot some external pics.....

Would not just the rods be enough with that torque mate ? not as clued up with your engine but with my s3 with the rods done you can achieve a lot more without going fully forged

Might as well get the pistons done at the same time :)

Not sure bout the internals, I've been told by a few people if I was to go over 300 the standard internals would be under a lot of strain, and would be worth doin a lot more forged components to come with power. I'll ask
Again and see what I can get away with

You only need rods , pistons an AP bolts to take the strain. Tried and tested upgrade path.

Speak to Paul @ RS Tuning and he will confirm.
