that sounds like a plan, i can see the 197 specific cam timing tool been quite sought after

Just fitted up a poly bushed dog bone mount to stiffen things up yet more again. Inlet setup has been sold so that's coming off soon to make way for, fingers crossed BOOST (y) @Brigsy@Brigsy has an engine for me, a f4rt. So future plans will be an f4 hybrid, using the t Pistons rods and head on the atmo block so I can keep the gearbox. Will take a while with a little one on the way but should be fun

Is the Turbo 'box a different bellhousing then?

yes so wont bolt to the early f4r block (172/182), you could do a complete swap and use the f4rt lump and box but i think you would need custom shafts as a minimum, i could be wrong but i think they use hydraulic clutch too, i know the 197 does.

Thread title is a bit misleading mate:grin.gif:

Great car! Why you using the pistons ánd rods of a 225? The rods are piss poor!

Also the gearbox will work if you use the new block, but you'd have to get a dci 100 paddle box (has hyd clutch) and custom shafts indeed.

wasnt ment to carry on like it has lol. rods are good for 280lbft? not going mental with it, well yet. It more in the tinkering and actually building a hybrid engine out of spares than making massive power.

dci 100 paddle box? tell me more

Dci 100 has an hydraulic clutch, i haven't tried it but i reckon it should work

what benefits would that have over the meggy 225 gearbox?

sorry for not being clear, using a dci paddle box would solve the problem with a 225 box being hydraulic clutch. That's what i meant to say
